Specialisation ENGINEERING CERAMIC/ MATERIALS PROCESSING

Personal Statement

I am a researcher in the field of Engineering Ceramic and materials processing. My work focuses on solving industrial, domestic, automobile and environmental real-life problems. Few among them are the Production of: Automobile transmission belt using polyester fibre and carbon black as reinforcements. An environment-friendly technology of manufacturing low-cost, high quality, thermal insulating refractory bricks from selected Nigerian fireclays using combustible agroforestry wastes to enhance the energy efficiency of manufacturing and processing industries in Nigeria and to reduce the importation of refractory bricks, thereby reducing the cost of production in the industries; I also researched on the production of Ceiling boards using plaster of Paris reinforced with coconut shell particles and banana stem fibre. Some of the publications from this research are listed in section C below.
